MMPI on the stealing Group of Juvenile Delinquents (Female)

Abstract
|
|
|
It was the purpose of this study to test the characteristics of the MMPI profile pattern between the stealing group of juvenile female delinquents and the normal control group of juvenile females. We performed MMPI to 142 female delinquents of the stealing group and 366 nondelinquent high school girls selected as normal control group.
The main findings are as following:
1. L, F, K. Hs, D. Hy, Pd, Pt, Pa, and Sc scale were the higher scores in the above mentioned delinquents compared with the normal control group.
2. 35.22% of the above delinquents and 12.30% of the above normal group showed neurotic or psychotic problem in the blind analysis of the MMPI profile.
3. The stealing group of juvenile female delinquents were more anxious than the normal control group, & they seemed to externalize stress less than the normal female group.
4. By the item analysis, we found 87 items to be presumably useful as the discriminating scale for the stealing delinquent group.
